From the moment a woman wants physical, emotional, and/or informational support about her pregnancy, I am in her home helping her enjoy the journey.  Often, it’s a matter of reassurance, a change of position, or a clarifying question that makes a significant difference in a woman’s experience.  I also provide necessary support during the transition from home to hospital by establishing comfort routines and honoring the mother’s birth wishes.

In addition to caring for the mother, I love supporting friends, family, and coaches during labor and delivery.  My goal is that everyone may enjoy this miraculous time and participate at their personal comfort levels. 

I believe that most hospital staff are hard-working and kindhearted.  They, however, aren’t able to come to your home (where the bulk of your labor takes place).  Once you’ve been admitted, the staff may be pulled in different directions or go through several shift changes creating a void in continuous care.  I am a reliable, skilled, and compassionate solution to this deficiency.
