Amy DeAscentis, Labor Doula
Serving Placer County & Surrounding Areas
Background, Experience & Training:
I completed DONA training in July 2006. Since that time, I have had the wonderful opportunity to part of some great birthing teams and still maintain many friendships with my clients.
As a birthing mother, I did not have the pleasure of having a trained and knowledgeable Doula with me at birth but I did have the support of a great husband, friend, sister and mother who all did a great job with what they knew to do for me.
I in turn, want to be able to offer that same loving, caring support, along with my knowledge of birth, to other birthing mothers and their partners for a very memorable event in their lives. I believe in supporting what the mother chooses for her birth and in no way "push" any of my ideals on her or her partner. I will give what knowledge I have.
Special Note:
I would like to begin with saying, Congratulations on your pregnancy and soon to be birth! I sincerely wish you the best for a happy, healthy birth!
I have always loved the birthing process and found the miracle of birth an exciting event like none other! I had often times, in years past, helped many of my friends in the birthing room as a support to them. It was not until 2006 and after my own two births, that a friend encouraged me to taking training to become a Birth Doula.
